Ben Orendorff was born and raised in Gettysburg, PA. He is the oldest of three, and has a loving wife Holly and two children; Leena and Quinn. Playing high school football and wrestling Ben’s love of sports as branched out to rugby, basketball, and any youth programs his kids are involved in. In addition to sports, Ben’s love for the outdoors brings happiness and adventure into his family’s life!
Ben graduated with a duel bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He then went on to work a five star, five diamond resort where his job ranged from off road driving and zip lines to programing holiday kids’ events and working with exotic animals. After moving on from the hospitality industry, Ben wound up in Morgantown, WV where he earned his Masters of Business Administration while working for WVU.
Evening Operations Manager was Ben’s first position starting off in Campus Recreation while at West Virginia University. He has since grown to oversee guest service operations and events/rentals within Campus Recreation. Ben’s passion of helping students develop in a professional setting drives his career at WVU. His goal when managing students is to provide essential work experience while exposing employees to on the job obstacles and objectives to create a positive and productive working environment.
“Being serious about having fun” is a motto Ben abides by professionally and personally. He is quick with a joke and always has a smile on his face. He can be seen working throughout the facility then be out shredding the pow with his friends and family.
