Strongest Mountaineer

Fourth Annual Strongest Mountaineer Competition

Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | SRC Lower Fitness

Participants will compete in four exercise categories: Bench, Squat, Deadlift and Farmer's Walk. For each competition participants in both male and female categories will be asked to do as many reps as possible with proper form. Weight lifted will be based on a percentage of competitor's body weight.

Event Schedule:

OPTIONAL 24hr hour weigh-in: Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 9 a.m.

Sunday: Event Runs 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

  • 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.  Weight-ins and 1st lift attempts written
  • 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.   Warm-up/Expectations of lifts
  • 9:00 a.m.  Competition Begins                 

Events and Scoring:

  • Squat (3 max attempts)                

  • Bench (3 max attempts)                

  • Deadlift (3 max attempts)                

  • Farmers Carry (75% of BW)
The  Wilks formula will be used to identify winner for 3 lifts and points for farmers carry
