Welcome Week

Parking Notices:

Area 49 permit holders:

As the campus prepares for Welcome Week activities, this notification is to inform you that this event will have an impact on your parking area on Tuesday, August 14.  In order to accommodate these activities, area 49 will be closed for permit parking.  Designated parking for your area will be in ST-1 across from the Art Museum. Area 49 will be returned to regular operations on Wednesday, August 15th.

This Welcome Week schedule is for the Morgantown Campus and will be updated regularly through the end of Welcome Week. Please see the  WVU Calendar for all campus events scheduled August 9-17, 2018.

9 a.m.   5  p.m. 
Welcome Week Wristband Activation  – Student Recreation Center lobby, Evansdale and Mountainlair Commons, Downtown 
For all WVU students.

Sunday, August 12, 2018

7 a.m. – 6 p.m. (times vary) Adventure/Campus Recreation/Service Activities for Commuters and Downtown residents (Boreman, Dadisman, Stalnaker, Seneca, Summit and Honors) 
For new undergraduate students. Students should choose one activity.  Students who participated in an Adventure WV program in summer 2018 need to choose a Community Service or Adventure activity for Welcome Week as the programs offered during the summer are different than those planned for Welcome Week.   
9 a.m.  – 5  p.m.  Welcome Week Wristband Activation  – Student Recreation Center lobby, Evansdale; and Mountainlair Commons, Downtown 
For all WVU students.

Monday, August 13, 2018

7 a.m.    6 p.m.  (times vary) 
Adventure/Campus Recreation/Service Activities for Evansdale residents (Bennett, Braxton, Brooke, Lincoln, Lyon and Oakland) 
For new undergraduate students. Students should choose one activity only.  
9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Welcome Week Wristband Activation – Student Recreation Center lobby, Evansdale; and Mountainlair Commons, Downtown For all WVU students.

Tuesday August 14th

10 a.m.    Noon Group Exercise Sampler (for upperclassmen) – Rec Center Turf Fields 
4 p.m. FoodFest (for all WVU students,  wristband required) – Evansdale, Short Term Lot 4 near Student Rec Center and Evansdale Crossing 
Feed your inner foodie and try a variety of cuisines. All students who want to participate in FoodFest need a wristband.
5 p.m. FallFest (for all WVU students,  wristband required) – Fields behind the Student Rec Center 
An evening of music and fun! All students who want to participate in FallFest need a wristband.
