Questions about Intramural Sports and its leagues and events are answered below.

How do I sign-up?

Interested participants should purchase the IM All-Access Pass before creating an account on IM Leagues.

What is the All-Access Pass?

The IM All-Access Pass is a $12.00, semester-long registration fee necessary for individual purchase before participating in Intramural Sports offerings. Visit https://wvugo.wvu.edu/ to purchase a $12 All- Access pass to gain access to all intramural sports for the semester.

  • Click “Intramural Sports Passes.”
  • Click “Intramural Sports All Access Pass.
  • Log-in using your WVU network username and password.
  • Complete your purchase.
  • Once purchased you can register for a sport with a team or as a free agent.
An individual may participate on one single-gender and one open (no
gender restrictions) team within each sport. Players are not permitted to
play on multiple teams in the same league.

What Intramural Sports are offered for each semester?

Intramural Sports leagues and events are intentionally selected each semester. Log into WVUGo to see a full list of offerings that take place during the current semester. 

Who is eligible to participate?

Students, faculty, staff, spouses and WVU Affiliates are all eligible to participate in Intramural Sports and events. 

What do I need to participate?

All participants must present a valid WVU ID before each Intramural Sports contest. The WVU ID must remain on-site for the duration of the game.

What does it mean to be registered as a free agent?

Any eligible participant can register as a free agent in an unlimited amount of leagues/divisions on IM Leagues. Those free agents will be visible to all teams and can request to join teams or post information about themselves so any team can request to add those free agents to their roster.

How to create an IM Leagues account

  • Go to WVU IMLeagues OR go to www.IMLeagues.com and Click “Create Account” (Green Button) or “Log-In” (Orange Button) at the top of our school’s homepage.
  • “Create Account” or “Log-In” using your WVU network username and password.
  • Complete the required information for your account.
  • You will be sent an activation email, click the link in the email to login and activate your IMLeagues account.
  • You should be automatically joined to your school. If not, you can search schools by clicking the "Schools" link.

How to sign up for an Intramural Sport

  • Log in to your www.IMLeagues.com account
  • Click the Create/Join Team button at the top right of your User Homepage page OR click on the "WVU" link on our school's homepage on IM Leagues.
  • The current sports will be displayed, click on the sport you wish to join.
  • Choose the league you wish to play in (Men's, Open, Women’s, etc.)
  • Choose the division you'd like to play in (Monday 5PM, Tuesday 5PM, etc.)

Request to Join a Team

  • Log in to your www.IMLeagues.com account
  • Near the top of the page, click “Search for Anything” and search for the name of the team you wish to join.
  • Find the team you wish to join and click “Join Team.”
  • This will send a request to the team captain, who must approve you as a team member before you will be considered a part of that team. Make sure you confirm with the captain that they check and approve this request promptly, as you will not be added to the roster until it has been approved.

Accept an Invitation to Join a Team

If the captain has invited you to join his/her team, click on the link in the email from IMLeagues.com.

Join as a Free Agent

You can list yourself as a free agent in as many divisions within a league as you'd like. You will be visible to all members of the site and can request to join teams, or post information about yourself so teams can request to add you to their team.

What does an open division mean?

A division that is indicated as “open” means all genders are able to participate, and team membership is not restricted by required gender ratios.

In what instances can I protest?

Only protests based on questions of player eligibility and rule interpretation (when misinterpretation affects the outcome of the game) will be accepted. Protests that challenge judgment calls made by the Intramural Sports Officials or Supervisors will not be accepted.

When and where are Intramural Sports games played?

Typically, Intramural Sports contests are played Sunday-Thursday evenings and are facilitated on a variety of courts and fields around campus, including:

  • Health Sciences Medical Center Fields
  • Mylan Park
  • Student Recreation Center
  • Evansdale Turf Fields
