Frequently Asked Questions

Personal Training F.A.Q.

Q. What qualifications/certifications do the Personal Trainers hold?
A. All of our personal trainers currently hold Third Party Accredited certifications through institutions such as NASM, NETA, and AFPA. They have gone through rigorous training and testing making them both skilled and knowledgeable in the field of personal training. This allows us to provide you with the best possible service we can.

Q. What can I supplement my personal training sessions with?
A. Small group training – If you like the atmosphere of group exercise classes but need a little more individualized attention, small group training is a perfect fit for you. Our Certified Personal Trainers have developed specific programs tailored to ensure you get a great workout while feeling confident performing unfamiliar exercises. Whether you are brand new to fitness or a weekend warrior, we have a small group training workout that will satisfy all your fitness needs.

Group Exercise Classes – Our group exercise classes offer a wide variety of exciting experiences with all the benefits and supportive atmosphere that accompanies larger group workouts! Whether you’re looking for the heart pumping intensity of HIIT, the invigorating flow of Vinyasa Yoga or something in between, we’ve got you covered.

Q. What is Personal Training?
A. Paid personal training consists of one-on-one, hands on instruction and workouts created just for you with one of our Certified Personal Trainers. You will be provided with the individual attention you deserve and guidance in order to help you reach your personal fitness goals. Whether you are looking for weight loss, toning, muscle building, or sport training we have the trainer for you!

Q. Will I be reimbursed for sessions that I don’t use?
A. Sessions expire 180 days (or 6 months) after the date of purchase. Any sessions that are purchased but not used in that time frame will not be reimbursed to the purchaser.

Q. Is there a cancellation policy?
A. Yes. We require at least 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled start of the session to cancel. Any cancellation made less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time of the session can result in the forfeit of a purchased session.

Q. Are sessions transferable? (i.e. If I buy 10 sessions, can I use 5 and my spouse use the other 5?)
A. Personal training sessions are assigned to an individual’s membership account. They are non-transferrable.

Q. What if I don’t like my trainer/do I have to use all of my sessions with the same trainer?
A. If you are not happy with your assigned trainer we will work with you to identify the problem and set you up with one of our other qualified personal trainers. Personal trainer assignments are based on not only your goals and the specialties of our trainers but also on availability. We encourage sticking with the same trainer throughout as it allows for a better experience.

Q. What if I don’t see results and/or it is not the experience I am expecting?
A. We will start by exploring any shortcomings on our end and move on to any other possibilities. It is important to keep in my mind that results come from not only the work you put in with your trainer but also the work you put in outside of the gym. To get the most out of your personal training experience it is important to get plenty of rest and eat a smart and healthy diet.
